Bhasa is a comprehensive drowning prevention plan that has been implemented in three Upazilas namely Kalapara, Betagi and Taltoli in the Barishal Division. The project aimed to reduce child drowning by 40% and implemented the evidence based interventions that were tested in Bangladesh and recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) in the Preventing Drowning: an Implementation Guide (2017).
