Position 1: Project Coordinator

Project: Maternal and Perinatal Death Surveillance and Responses (MPDSR)

Duty Station: Based in Dhaka with frequent visits to Chandpur, Noakhali, Bandarban

Duration: 10 August 2025 to 31 December 2025

Salary: Negotiable

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate operational research activities on MPDSR and obstetric fistula.
  2. Develop and refine research tools, protocols, and data collection systems.
  3. Monitor MPDSR implementation and progress in target districts.
  4. Coordinate with national stakeholders including DGHS, DGFP, and DGNM.
  5. Maintain collaboration with district and upazila health managers.
  6. Organize and facilitate national-level workshops, technical meetings, and consultations.
  7. Draft agendas, prepare presentations, and ensure participation from key stakeholders.
  8. Record minutes and develop action plans from workshops and meetings.
  9. Conduct field visits to supervise and support district teams.
  10. Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot implementation issues.
  11. Prepare reports, briefs, and case studies for donors and stakeholders.
  12. Ensure timely submission of data and documentation from the field.
  13. Maintain a database of project activities and outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. MBBS with Master’s in Public Health, Social Sciences, or related field.
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in maternal health or operational research.
  3. Experience with MPDSR or fistula-related programs preferred.
  4. Familiarity with government agencies and development partners.
  5. Strong coordination, facilitation, and documentation skills.
  6. Excellent communication in Bangla and English.
  7. Willingness to travel to field sites frequently.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.

Position 2: District Coordinator

Project: Maternal and Perinatal Death Surveillance and Responses (MPDSR)

Duty Station: Chadpur, Noakhali, Bandarban

Duration: 10 August 2025 to 31 December 2025

Salary: Negotiable

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Liaise with DGHS, DGFP, DGNM, UNFPA, and NGO partners for MPDSR coordination.
  2. Work with health facilities for death notification, verbal/social autopsies, and reviews.
  3. Facilitate MPDSR committee formation and death mapping at the local level.
  4. Organize training for doctors, nurses, midwives, HA, FWA, FPI, AHI, etc.
  5. Train community health workers and volunteers for accurate death reporting.
  6. Engage community leaders and influencers to promote awareness and ownership.
  7. Monitor field activities and performance indicators for reporting.
  8. Undertake routine visits to supervise and support field implementation.
  9. Build partnerships with GoB, NGOs, and community-based stakeholders.
  10. Lead MPDSR review meetings at district and upazila levels.
  11. Support MPDSR action plan development addressing local priorities.
  12. Identify challenges and provide practical, evidence-based solutions.
  13. Ensure alignment with national protocols and donor requirements.

Job Requirements:

  1. MSS in Social Science or related field (MPH preferred).
  2. At least 3 years experience in public health and program implementation.
  3. Experience coordinating with DGHS, DGFP, and DGNM.
  4. Experience with NGOs and community-based organizations.
  5. Flexibility to travel extensively in field settings.
  6. Good understanding of local cultural, social, and environmental issues.
