CIPRB was established in 2005, working in program, innovations and research in SRH and women health in partnership with GoB, UN and NGOs especially for the underserved and marginalized women in the offshore, hill tracts, Tea gardens, climate affected areas. Cyclone Remal hit the southern coastal districts of Bangladesh on 26 May 2024 evening. The GBV-SRH anticipatory actions is integrated to mitigate cyclone-induced potential risks on women, girls, and third gender including pregnant women and persons with disability. UNFPA emergency response to Cyclone Remal in Bangladesh to address lifesaving GBV and SRH needs of affected women, adolescent girls, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities. CIPRB works as implementation partner of UNFPA of this project. A total number of 750 baby kits and medical equipment need to purchase and distribute to the beneficiaries of project affected areas, i.e. Bagerhat, Satkhira, and Patuakhali districts.
